Gakuensai Ouji-sama Master List

  • Aug. 24th, 2008 at 2:39 PM
genki, ookawa, cute
I'll list up all the Gakuensai translations that I will do in the future here for easier reference =3

Please take note that my Japanese is not perfect (I have terrible kanji's xD) but I will try my best in translating what they are saying <_< As it will be too hard for me to translate word for word, I'll probably just give an overview of what they are saying in each conversation and if a situation calls for it (confessions etc) I'll put up the dialogue rather than a summary =3

Of course, all help in translating is appreciated and if there is anyone of you out there who can read Japanese as well, feel free to contact me and help me translate so that we can make a full translation rather than a summary XD Oh and if you can do screencaps, please contact me too since I cant do screencaps <_< Oh and do realize that spoilers are present as this is sort of like a hybrid between a guide and translation.

Coming soon is Marui Bunta and Kirihara Akaya's! =3

Rikkaidai

Kirihara Akaya

Marui Bunta

Seigaku

Hyotei

Yamabuki

Fudoumine

lool yea this is pretty long ago xD But I still ahve the files of the translation I did on Bunta and Akaya, only I havent completed them yet since it was getting annoying reloading the save games and going through the same convo just to pick a different answer=/ Bunta's is near done but Akaya is only done halfway through lol

I should probably finish them xD When exams are over, I think I'll complete this task I assigned myself haha and I kinda forgot what I wanted the screen caps for ._.

if you happen to know Japanese, help translating is brilliant too haha

(I have AP Euro coming up to ._.)

Sorry about the translating, but asking me for help with Japanese is like asking a...
-can't think of a witty simile at the moment XD-

uh ya; I can't speak/read Japanese, (wish I could and want to learn but ya...) sorry D:

haha then can you help get screens for Marui's and Akaya's? XD and a screen on a scene where there is all the choices for a topic would be good too =0 so that I can list down what is what XD

Hi! Great job on translating! XD

I can help reviewing or something since I basically cleared the whole game (All characters endings) and I can basically play it again with no hassle (Or I just be lazy and search the video or game scripts! XD)

Good job! XD

haha thanks xD

clearing the game is no problem for me (actually I cleared some of the characters like Bunta for example, but then have to replay now cause Isuddenly decided to do the translation for people since sites I went to had people crying about it D:) and I'm just lazy to replay sometimes XD I did Bunta and Akaya's story together at the same time, hence the terribleness and messiness, and the similarities in places haha.

Though some help reviewing would be great! Better yet, help on some of the scenes which have multiple topics for ONE conversation <_< The places I ended translating was because it got too much of a hassle to keep restarting and going back to the same scene JUST to see what they will say if I chose another topic or answer=/ I definitely need help on that one XD the video scripts would be nice! It'll be easier on my eyes as I can listen to what the characters are saying, rather than read it haha If only there was someone out there who can record parts of the game for me <_<; then I can just watch it and translate without having to play, restart and type at the same time lol =(

If it's a help, some of the ending dialogues have been translated here.

thanks a lot! It'll save me translation time on those characters when (if) I get to them xD

There was a GakuPuri translation project, but it seems to be on permanent hiatus. They were the ones who released the Prince and the Pauper translations on GameFAQs.

I think they were working on Akaya's route near the end. It'd be awesome if the Rikkai boys get translated. *fangirls them like whoa!*

yea haha I saw that project but after realizing it died, and playing through the game, I realized the net needed one desperately that is a thorough translation xD

I saw the Prince and ones too but they didnt finish much either lol

but yes, I feel the same as you. As soon as I can, I want to finish all rikkai boys since I looove them all <3 especially Marui and Akaya haha I probably will do those like Niou, Sanada and Yukimura last though. A lot of people seem to be doing them, no matter how partial D:

THAT IS AWESOME...i have always enjoyed reading the prince and pauper stories...and that other one who used to update them in fanfiction.net...and i read some endings/funny stuff-translations through the ljs
Most of them always translates the same characters..but akaya and marui were never really translated at all...so thank you very much!
keep up the greatwork, im really happy for sharing this

haha I read through the prince and pauper stories too, and admittedly, I should have done my translation like them format wise but it will take too long <_<; I hope to do that one day though, when I'm a pro at Japanese and can type without looking at certain dictionaries haha and yea. Akaya is translated once in awhile, but Marui....hardly! so that upsetted me greatly when I played his game (the very first XD) and realized there isnt a translation for him to allow me to just breeze through his game =( so I decided to translate for myself and the first time around I translated, I was stupid enough not to have recorded it xD so this guide was the product of my second play through of him and Akaya, though I did the two of them together haha so it took a lot of restarts <_<; but thank you! glad you liked it =D

I have some of Gakupuri trans/summary posted in my LJ, though it was all based on how I play. I don't do every possible choice, just the one I pick. Currently I have Ryoma, Tezuka, Fuji, Mukahi, Saeki and Niou. I also have done Marui, Ootori and Oishi but I haven't posted them yet. I do friend-lock those posts since well I'm copying Yuen's translations inside it. She is the one who did Prince and Pauper thingy faqs. I haven't really asked for permission though I think she won't mind. She is my friend and we started the Festival of Love (the Gakupuri translation web) together but we lost our webmaster. That's why it hadn't be updated. I helped her in some translations and grammar checking.

I can translate but I have a problem. I play my game in a 7 inch or maybe smaller LCD. I don't have a television in my rented room. I don't live in my house since I'm living in a different city from my hometown for my study and my room is too small to get a TV beside I don't find many use for it since I have an LCD for my PS2, but like I said, it's small which means reading the text and recognizing the kanji is very very hard.

I'm willing to help of course. I love Tenipuri and this game is pure love. So if someone willing to give me a kanji script of the game, I will gladly to translate it.

yea, I'm trying to find a kanji script as well, but no luck so far =( since I'm trying to translate the whole thing, and not just based on how I play.

but its taking a long while to select every single option for each scene

but its taking a long while to select every single option for each scene <_< and I was playing Marui and Akaya together at the same time lol so it got confusing at parts as I forgot where I was and what I did haha but I'm hoping to brush this two translation of mine soon when I have the time, since this was done about 2 years ago, and I was still terrible at translations and a noob at formatting haha

hopefully my new ones will be neater and more complete >.< Well, I didnt want to use anyone's translations, since I'd rather translate it from scratch haha and also cause I dont have permission lol

I really hope you could help me, but I guess thats not possible unless we get a script <_< I'd work faster if there was a script too, since as you know, I have to reload the save file for Marui or Akaya each time to progress both stories >.< least with a script I could do it even when I'm in school....well,I'll keep trying to find a script for this; and if I find one, I'll tell ya =D

thanks a lot! ^_^

Right now I'm in holiday so I can't really help searching scripts or so, mainly because I left my PS2 in my room, not taking it for holiday. I'll be in holiday until August though.

I do have a plan to try hacking my Gakupuri DVD for the text script. If I managed to do that, I'll tell you. I also plan to make a blog for my love-sims game translation but that plan will only be done if I do managed to extract the text script.

I'll try contacting Yuen again to see if we can start a project for this game again.

My hacking plan was failed. It made confused to the point that I want to bang my head to the wall.

So rather than translation, I ended up reviewing the storyline of the princes that I play currently in random order. It's not like full review of each day but just some events that I think worth noted.

Check them here if you like. I friend-locked some, so if you want to read them, just comment there and I'll add you.
